Why Connect?
We use digital technology and skills in just about everything we do - to connect. Whether that's connecting to other people, information, education, products and services... Online, it's all possible even if you can't get out.
We all know someone who could use a helping hand with digital technology. And all of us already online can do something to help. The holidays are the perfect time to help someone else connect.
Why does connecting matter?
Covid-19 has made digital connections more important than ever because normal social connections aren't... normal. Those already online agree:
- 78% say the Covid-19 pandemic has escalated the need for digital skills
- 80% say using technology has been a vital support to them
In the UK, 9m people can't use the Internet confidently on their own and 1.7m people don't have good enough digital skills for everyday life. With your help, we can change that.
Who's behind it?
